Nine times out of ten, this is how the conversation goes:

Either:

1. ”So, are you going to make drugs?”

or

2. ”So, can you make me drugs?”

or

3. “You’re going to be like breaking bad, right?”

And then:

“So why are you doing chemistry?”

My face: :|

I have seriously had this conversation with 5 different people. If this conversation doesn’t go on, I just get “Oh, that’s interesting.” and then silence.

I think I need a t-shirt that says, “yes I am a chemist, and no I will not make you drugs”.

In Singapore, they have two reactions

1.  So you’re going to become a teacher?
   
    
2. Oh my god, I’m so sorry.

Sometimes both, one after the other.
